The Nasarawa State Information Technology and Digital Economy Agency (NASITDEA) recently concluded a four-day orientation and induction programme for its staff, aimed at enlightening and sensitizing personnel on the reviewed public service rules to enhance professionalism and efficiency in public service. The programme commenced on Monday, January 5, 2026, and concluded on Thursday with a test participation session to assess participants’ understanding.
Speaking after the assessment, the Director General of NASITDEA, Haruna Sani Sani, MCPN, C.ITP, MNCS, highlighted the progress recorded by the agency and outlined key plans already in place for 2026. He emphasized that adherence to civil service regulations remains central to building a disciplined, accountable, and results-driven workforce capable of driving the state’s digital economy agenda.
The Director of Human Resources and Administration, Akwe Umar Musa, also addressed the staff, shedding light on administrative procedures and service ethics. He encouraged participants to seek clarification on grey areas by opening the floor for questions and concerns, reinforcing the importance of compliance with established rules and standards.
Anchoring the event, Program Analyst, Agbo Faruq Rabo, AMCPN, reminded staff of the need to uphold good conduct and professionalism both within and outside the agency. He stressed that understanding and observing public service rules not only improves individual performance but also safeguards the integrity and public image of NASITDEA.
The orientation programme served as a vital platform to equip staff with the knowledge and values required for better service delivery, accountability, and sustained institutional growth.
